The Knicks take on the Nuggets on Wednesday night in New York City. Here are the best player props to consider for Karl-Anthony Towns on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best Karl-Anthony Towns Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
The Knicks are three-point favorites against the Nuggets, with a total of 240 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Here are the latest prop bet lines for Karl-Anthony Towns: o/u 24.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 three-pointers.
Karl-Anthony Towns is in the midst of a monster first season as a New York Knick. Towns is 15th in the league in points per game, second in rebounds per game and 20th in field goal percentage. His advanced metrics have been even more impressive. He ranks fifth in player impact estimate, 6th in offensive rating and 1st in rebound percentage. Towns has seamlessly fit into this Tom Thibodeau system, and the Knicks’ style of play. Towns significantly improved his defensive rating from the past two seasons and is having the best rebounding season of his career. That is in addition to still being a really productive scorer and playing well alongside Jalen Brunson. Towns will now go to battle with Nikola Jokic in what should be a really fun matchup to watch.
Towns got the better of Jokic when these teams faced off earlier this season. The Knicks dominated the Nuggets in Denver by a score of 145-118. KAT was a key part of the Knicks’ massive offensive day, going for 30 points on 12/15 shooting. Towns also added 15 rebounds and tied his season-high of three steals in that game. Jokic was held to 22-7-7 in that game, all well below his season averages. The Knicks had a great defensive gameplan for him in that first matchup using Towns along with Josh Hart and OG Anunoby to slow down the reigning MVP. Jokic had such trouble creating his own shot that he was less of a factor on the defensive end. That allowed Towns and the rest of the Knicks to feast and have an efficient night on the offensive end.
My favorite prop bet for Karl-Anthony Towns is for him to make over 1.5 three-pointers. Towns should have another big offensive performance in this game after his first great game against the Nuggets. Towns is also having a great month, averaging 25.3 PPG in January. Towns went 2/2 from beyond the arc in the first matchup against Denver and he made two threes in the Knicks’ last game on Monday night.
Towns is shooting 43.8% from three at Madison Square Garden this season, averaging 2.1 made threes per game at home. Denver has struggled to defend the three-ball this season, ranking 24th in the NBA in opponent three-pointers made per game. The Knicks should try to draw Jokic out of the paint by keeping Towns on the perimeter throughout this game and that should lead to a few attempts from deep by Towns and with the way he has been shooting, he should knock down at least two of those attempts.
