Just four games between eight teams are on tap tonight across the NBA. Among the games to watch, the Lakers will look to pick up their fifth straight win against the 76ers. Elsewhere, the upstart Rockets head to Atlanta to face Trae Young and the Hawks. On such a small slate, narrowing down a handful of names to back is easier said than done. Still, that doesn’t mean there aren’t bets worth placing. Here are three player props catching my eye on Tuesday.
Guerschon Yabusele under 7.5 rebounds (-120)
It’s been a rough few months for the 76ers, currently 11th in the Eastern Conference with a 17-27 record. Philadelphia’s dreams of title contention have been hampered by a slew of injuries and underperformance across the roster. However, Guerschon Yabusele has been a bright spot. Following a solid showing with France during the Olympics, the big man earned a one-year contract this summer. The results off the bench have been stellar: 10.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
In theory, Yabusele should offer value for bettors with Joel Embiid (knee) still sidelined. That might not be the case on Tuesday against Anthony Davis and the Lakers. This season, Los Angeles has allowed the seventh-fewest rebounds per game to opponents (51.4). Over Yabusele’s last five starts, he’s grabbed more than seven boards only once. The Frenchman should be involved tonight, but it’s difficult to imagine him having an impressive outing on the glass.
Alperen Sengun over 4.5 assists (-145)
Following a last-second win in Boston on Monday, the vibes are high for the Rockets. Ime Udoka’s crew is second in the Western Conference with a 31-14 record, showing no signs of slowing down. Leading the charge for Houston this season has been Alperen Sengun. Through 45 games, the big man has put up 19.2 points, 10.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
The Turkish-born center will have a prime opportunity to produce on Tuesday against Atlanta. This season, the Hawks are allowing the fifth-most points (118.8) and the fifth-most assists (28.4) to opponents. Sengun’s skill as a passer is what sets him apart, having notched five or more dimes in seven of his last ten appearances. With all that in mind, the 22-year-old should have no trouble dissecting one of the game’s worst defenses. Even at a high cost, this is one of the best player props available tonight.
Damian Lillard over 3.5 three-pointers made (-105)
Even at 34 years old, Damian Lillard is still one of the NBA’s most dangerous scorers. After a disappointing 2023-24 campaign, it’s been reassuring for Bucks fans to see the guard bounce back. This season, the eight-time All-Star has posted 25.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists while shooting 45.3% from the field (38.3 3PT%).
Lillard will get to face his old team on Tuesday when Milwaukee travels to Portland. The Trail Blazers have struggled on defense this season, especially on the perimeter. The team has allowed opponents to hit 37.3% of their three-point attempts, fifth-most in the NBA. Dame has knocked down four or more shots from beyond the arc in three of his last four outings. The future Hall of Famer should have another terrific performance in the Rose City.
