Kevin Durant Injury Update: January 29 vs. the Timberwolves

Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant’s status is in question for Wednesday’s 10 p.m. EST clash with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Durant is officially listed questionable due to a thumb injury for the home matchup against a fellow Western Conference playoff hopeful.

He’s coming off a 24-point, four-rebound, five-assist performance in a win over the Clippers on Monday night. Overall, the 40-year-old is averaging 27.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per contest this season.

If Durant is out Wednesday, Royce O’Neale will likely see expanded minutes. As for workload in the offense, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal could see additional field goal attempts.

The Suns sit 24-21 on the campaign thus far, eighth-best in the Western Conference.
