The Lakers head to Philadelphia to take on the 76ers on Tuesday night. Here are the betting splits and most popular player prop bets at DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Lakers are 3.5-point favorites over the 76ers with an over/under set at 218.

Betting Splits

The public is all over the Lakers in this game. Los Angeles is getting 74% of the bets and 79% of the handle on the moneyline. An overwhelming amount of the public thinks the Lakers will get this win and bigger bettors are getting on the train as well. The 76ers were on a seven-game losing streak for a big chunk of this month but they have won their past two games heading into this matchup. However, they will be without some key pieces tonight, including Joel Embiid and Paul George, so the public has more faith in the Lakers. There are also 60% of the bets on the Lakers to cover the spread as well, and 67% of the handle is on the Lakers -3.5. That indicates that not only is the public backing the Lakers to cover, but so are a majority of the bigger bets.

The Lakers are a popular public bet but the total is even more lopsided, as 79% of bets and 94% of the handle are on the over 218. The Lakers have won six of their past seven games and are in a good rhythm at the moment. The public seems confident in them having a big offensive night so they can cover the spread and push the game over the total. Tyrese Maxey and Anthony Davis are both top 10 in the NBA in PPG and should be able to push their teams over this total.

Here are the five most popular player prop bets at DraftKings Sportsbook for the Lakers at 76ers matchup:

  1. Anthony Davis 1st Points Scorer (+350)
  2. Tyrese Maxey 1st Points Scorer (+550)
  3. Austin Reaves 1st Points Scorer (+550)
  4. Guerschon Yabusele u7.5 Rebounds (-125)
  5. Tyrese Maxey u4.5 Rebounds (-160)

The public is backing Anthony Davis to score the first points of the game. Joel Embiid, Paul George and Andre Drummond are all out for this game for the 76ers so Davis should be able to control the paint. The 76ers will be very undersized in the paint so it wouldn’t be surprising at all if the Lakers decided to dump it down to Davis right away. The 76ers rank 19th in the NBA in opponent points per game so with the injuries making them even weaker inside, it would be a good spot for the Lakers to target. Davis is also in great form, scoring 42 points and 36 points in his past two games.

Austin Reaves is also toward the top of the most popular first points scorers. The 76ers rank 21st in defensive rating this season and the Lakers should be able to attack them from the jump. Reaves is averaging a steady 18.4 PPG and can shoot from anywhere on the floor, making him a dangerous threat to score the first basket. Tyrese Maxey is the most bet on player to score the first points from the 76ers. Philadelphia has been riddled with injuries this season and with Paul George and Joel Embiid out for this game, Maxey will need to be the 76ers’ main scoring threat once again. Maxey is seventh in the league in scoring, averaging 26.6 PPG this season. He should get the most amount of looks for the 76ers from the start of the game.

Two members of the 76ers are being targeted to go under their rebounds props. Yabusele and Maxey are both being bet on to go under their rebound total. Yabusele’s prop is set at 7.5 rebounds but he is only averaging 5.5 rebounds per game. That being said, the 76ers are really shorthanded in the frontcourt with George, Drummond and Embiid all out for this game. Yabusele has only gone over 7.5 rebounds once in the past seven games but if his minutes are largely increased in this game, then he could go over the number. Bettors are also backing Maxey to go under his rebound total. Looking just at the month of January, Maxey went under this number in each of his first five games. However, he has cleared this number in four of his past eight games. With the diminished frontcourt, Maxey has needed to crash the boards more and could clear this number against the Lakers.
