The PGA TOUR is hosting the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week, which is one of the PGA TOUR’s eight Signature Events this season. 80 players will be competing for a purse of $20 million, and there will be no cut this week. Each golfer will play one round at Pebble Beach Golf Links (par 72, 6,972 yards, POA annua greens) and Spyglass Hill (par 72, 7,041 yards, POA annua greens). Then, the field will return to Pebble Beach Golf Links for the final two rounds.
Below, I have featured some finishing position bets to consider for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Patrick Cantlay for a Top-10 Finish including ties (+160)
Cantlay is a California native who loves competing in his home state. He is fresh off a T5 at the American Express in La Quinta two weeks ago, and he has carded a top-five finish in two of his last three starts at Pebble Beach. Overall, when we analyze this field’s histories in California, Cantlay ranks second only to Collin Morikawa in strokes gained per round. Plus, Cantlay ranks second in strokes gained per round when we compare this field’s last 50 rounds at events that feature no cut.
Cantlay finished inside the top-five at three of the eight Signature Events last season. His work on the greens has been awesome. He’s been gaining strokes with his putter in six of his past seven starts. Three of the last five AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am winners have finished the event top-three in SGP, and Cantlay is a great bet for a top-10 finish with his flat stick in convincing form.
Keegan Bradley for a Top-20 Finish including ties (+140)
Bradley has finished T11th and T15th in his two starts at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and he is in stellar form right now, with four top-15 finishes in his last five starts, most notably with a win at the BMW Championship. Besides with his putter last week, Bradley has gained strokes across the board in all three of his starts this season, and he has shot under par in 10 of his 12 rounds.
Additionally, the former FedEx Cup champion ranks ninth in 400-450-yard par four efficiency over his last 50 rounds, which is great news for Pebble Beach Golf Links, where five of the 10 par fours fall in this range. Bradley’s game is firing on all cylinders right now. His terrific season should continue with at least a top-20 finish this weekend.
