A select four-game NBA slate is on tap for Tuesday, with eight teams set to tip off across the association. Still, plenty of big names are expected to take the floor, including Steph Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Anthony Davis. With so few stars in action, narrowing down who to start in season-long fantasy and DFS formats is a difficult task. Here are the three guards at the top of tonight’s fantasy basketball rankings:

1. Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia 76ers vs. Lakers ($9,800)
Joel Embiid (knee) is set to miss another game, leaving Tyrese Maxey with full control of the 76ers’ offense. The 24-year-old has recovered nicely from a rocky start, establishing himself as one of the best guards in the Eastern Conference. This season, the All-Star has averaged 26.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 43.2% from the field.
Tonight’s marquee matchup vs. the Lakers won’t be easy. The last time these two teams met in November, the 76ers scored just 106 points (without Maxey and Embiid). This season, Los Angeles is giving up the 13th-most DK fantasy points to opposing point guards. Considering his massive workload, Philadelphia’s young star is an easy top choice for Tuesday’s fantasy basketball rankings.
2. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors vs. UTA ($8,800)
Few teams in recent memory have collapsed like the Warriors. Following a 10-2 start, Golden State has lost 21 of its last 33 games. Draymond Green’s calf injury has made matters even worse, as the Dubs are now short on veteran contributors. Fortunately, Steph Curry is still around. It’s been a down year by the future Hall of Famer, but the numbers are still solid: 22.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 6.4 assists while shooting 44.3% from the field (40.3 3PT%).
On most days, Curry is far from a lock to make this list. However, on Tuesday the 36-year-old faces a Jazz team allowing the second-most DK fantasy points to point guards. This season, Utah has surrendered the third-most points (119.8) and the fourth-most three-pointers made (14.3) to opponents. In such an advantageous matchup, Steph offers plenty of value for fantasy managers at under $9,000.
3. Damian Lillard, Milwaukee Bucks at POR ($8,700)
The Bucks are fourth in the Eastern Conference, due primarily to their two stars. Giannis Antetokounmpo is making a strong MVP push, but the Greek Freak can’t do it all alone. Milwaukee has gotten terrific production this season from guard Damian Lillard. Following a subpar 2023-24 campaign, the eight-time All-Star has posted 25.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists.
Lillard has been on fire recently, notching at least 54.0 DK fantasy points over his last three outings. The 34-year-old will look to keep the good times rolling tonight in Portland. This season, the Trail Blazers have allowed the eighth-most points to opponents (117.3) and the fourth-most DK fantasy points to point guards. Against his old team, Dame is well-positioned for a vintage performance on Tuesday.
