The Bucks look to continue their sizzling January when they travel to take on the tanking Trail Blazers on Tuesday evening. Damian Lillard has had a nice bounceback campaign and is in a position to make his ninth All-Star game.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Milwaukee is currently a six-point favorite, with the game’s point total set at 229.5. Below, I’ve honed in on my favorite player prop centered around Lillard in this cross-country showdown.
Best Damian Lillard Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Damian Lillard 25+ Points (-170)
At 34, Damian Lillard is no longer good enough to be an elite offensive engine on a nightly basis. Playing alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo helps mask his physical limitations. It allows Lillard to take more of a backseat when he needs to. That’s not to say Lillard isn’t a top-40 player in the world.
Milwaukee’s superstar is averaging over 25 points and seven assists a night. Lillard isn’t the same driver he once was, often opting to try to generate separation on the perimeter to set up his jumper. He’s back to being a three-point sniper, hitting 38% of his attempts from downtown. Lillard is also comfortable using screens to get downhill and rise up from midrange or get to the paint with the purpose of finding shooters on the perimeter.
For most of the regular seasons, each individual game carries little-to-no significance. Lillard spent the first 11 years of his career in Portland, and it’s hard to imagine he doesn’t have some extra motivation heading into this contest. In his only game as a visitor in the Pacific Northwest, Lillard had a shaky 25. In all three games against the Blazers, Lillard has failed to shoot north of 40%. That’s likely a product of nerves, which won’t last for the future first-ballot Hall of Famer.
Lillard’s scored at least 25 points in six straight showings and will keep that streak against his former squad, which is 26th in defensive rating.
