After a slow Sunday with just a single game on the hardwood, the NBA is back to claim the sports spotlight with 10 games on Monday night’s main slate. With 20 teams in action and none on the second night of a back-to-back, there are plenty of options to consider as you build out your roster, but a few teams are standing out as the top NBA DFS stacks to consider for Monday, January 27.
Even without any teams playing back-to-back days, there are still plenty of roster question marks going into Monday. Make sure to keep a close eye on today’s injury article for the latest availability updates as we approach tip-off. With what we know going into the afternoon, though, here are my top NBA Stacks of the day:

Dallas Mavericks vs. Washington Wizards
Stacking against the Wizards is a staple strategy at this point. They give up the most points per game in the NBA and have allowed the most fantasy points per game to multiple positions. They’ll continue their current road trip with a stop in Dallas, and the Mavs are especially stackable since they are without some players due to injury, concentrating usage in some key spots.
Core Plays: Kyrie Irving ($8,900) gets most of the work in the backcourt with Luka Doncic (calf) out, but don’t sleep on Spencer Dinwiddie ($5,700) and Daniel Gafford ($6,700) in revenge games against their former team. Dinwiddie has been inconsistent but shown a high ceiling while Gafford has been crushing it in the absence of Dereck Lively (ankle). P.J. Washington ($6,900) is also a key player to consider since he has averaged 38.6 DraftKings points over his last 10 games and had a massive game last week against the Thunder that earned him 60.25 DraftKings points on 22 points and 19 boards.
Value Options: Dinwiddie is a solid midrange play at either guard spot, but if you want to go even cheaper Quentin Grimes ($4,700) has been getting good playing time and is coming off a 20-point performance against the Celtics that got him 34.25 DraftKings points on Saturday. Olivier-Maxence Prosper ($3,100) only played four minutes in that game but had shown some interesting upside while playing 19+ minutes in three straight games before that. With Maxi Kleber (foot) and Dwight Powell (hip) sidelined, there could be more work once gain for Prosper or Kessler Edwards ($3,000).
New York Knicks vs. Memphis Grizzlies
The Knicks host the Grizzlies on Monday night in a matchup that has the second-highest point total on the slate, per DraftKings SportsBook. The Knicks are favored at home and could be in another high-scoring contest like they were on Saturday when they out-lasted the Kings 143-120. While the Knicks rotation isn’t usually a deep one, the core players get enough minutes and usage that they’re strong plays whenever the team is able to put up that high a point total.
Core Plays: The names here are the ones you expect—Jalen Brunson ($8,800) and Karl-Anthony Towns ($9,800). Brunson seems especially attractive at his price point under $9,000 after posting 47.25 DraftKings points in Saturday’s win and over 45 DraftKings points in five of his last seven. The other option I’d mix in here is Mikal Bridges ($6,300), whose scoring has picked up lately. He has at least 23 points and at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last six most recent contests and is coming off 27 points, seven assists and 44.25 DraftKings points on Saturday.
Value Options: Coming off the bench, Miles McBride ($3,600) and Cameron Payne ($3,100) have shown they’re capable of spike games if they get bigger workloads, but normally they play fairly minimal roles. In the frontcourt, Precious Achiuwa ($4,400) can get solid minutes as well but doesn’t offer the same ceiling as bargain players in other matchups with higher usage. The main Knicks to consider are their high-usage, high-minutes starters.
Atlanta Hawks at Minnesota Timberwolves
The Hawks are an interesting stack to use for value this Monday, whether you mix them with another stack like the Knicks or use them as independent options. There will be plenty of work available in the offense without Trae Young (hamstring) and Jalen Johnson (shoulder).
Core Plays: Without Young and Johnson, De’Andre Hunter ($6,000; illness) could have a ton of usage, but he missed Saturday’s game with an illness that also has him questionable for this contest. If he ends up out as well, Dyson Daniels ($7,400) and Onyeka Okongwu ($6,400) would have to carry a huge offensive workload. Okongwu has been outstanding lately with 42.8 DraftKings points on 24.2 points and 12.3 rebounds per game over his last seven contests. Daniels has also been very productive with at least 38 DraftKings points in three straight.
Value Options: The value options here could be the real wild cards on Monday’s slate. Keaton Wallace ($3,600) is a name everyone will be watching since his salary is under $4,000. He stepped up with an impressive 53 DraftKings points on 27 points, six assists, six rebounds, and four steals in 39 minutes in the last game that Trae missed, but the team listed Wallace as questionable since he’s a two-way player. If he plays, he’ll be a great value to grab.
Vit Krejci ($5,000) isn’t quite so cheap but is very versatile and can fill up the box score. He had a very solid 20 points and 46 DraftKings points against the Raptors on Saturday. Bogdan Bogdanovic ($4,400) has a high ceiling but has been very inconsistent lately, making him a hard play to trust. It’s also worth noting that Zaccharie Risacher ($4,100) was listed as questionable after being sidelined since January 14.
