DraftKings, your paradise of DFS nirvana, has done it again with a new contest called NBA Starting 5. You select one point guard, one shooting guard, one small forward, one power forward and one center. There is no salary cap. The only stipulation is that you must select players from at least two different teams.
For Tuesday’s Starting 5 slate, there are four games.
ATL, HOU, LAL, MIL and UTA are playing the second leg of a back-to-back.
As for injuries, Deandre Ayton is questionable. Paul George is out. Keep track of all the pertinent injury updates at DK Live.

Point Guard
No Joel Embiid. No Paul George. Equals Tyrese Maxey. He sees a 3% usage rate increase with Embiid and George off the court and has put up at least 50 FPTS in each of the last four games. Another 50-burger is highly likely.
Shooting Guard
No Joel Embiid, no Paul George, equals Kelly Oubre Jr. Maxey can’t do it all! Over the last two games, Oubre has finished with 22 points and three assists in both while grabbing 12 and 13 rebounds. That translated to 46 and 48.75 FPTS. He’s going to be needed to score and do yeoman’s work on the boards once again.
Small Forward
Amen Thompson is coming off a 64.5-FPT triple-double! The jumper isn’t great, but his athleticism allows him to do things that most NBA’ers can only dream of doing. While Thompson is able to contribute across the board, the most important thing is that he’s been playing a ton of minutes; over 40 in three of the last four games. Minutes are half the battle. Can I get an Amen?!
Power Forward
I do like LeBron James a lot, especially since Philadelphia has been dead-last in defensive rating over the last 10 games, but I have to go with Giannis Antetokounmpo. The floor/ceiling combo is just too high, and the ceiling is higher than what LeBron will likely put up.
Center
No Joel Embiid, no Andre Drummond, equals feasting for Anthony Davis. Davis dominates at both ends of the court, stuffs the stat sheet and has put up over 65 FPTS in two of the last three games. Davis has failed to hit 40 FPTS only four times this season while going over 60 FPTS 13 times.
