Guard
Stud
Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia 76ers vs. Los Angeles Lakers ($9,800): Maxey has put up at least 50 FPTS in each of the last four games. Joel Embiid and Paul George are both out for Tuesday, which puts most of the offensive onus on the shoulders of Maxey. With both Embiid and George off the court this season, Maxey has seen a 3.08% usage rate bump to 33.92%.
Other Options: Damian Lillard ($8,700), Amen Thompson ($8,000), Collin Sexton ($7,000), Kelly Oubre Jr. ($6,200)
Value
Isaiah Collier, Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors ($5,200): You never know who’s going to play for Jazz on a nightly basis, as the Flagg has been planted. Collier, though, has started eight of the last 10 games. Two of those non-starts came in the last four games, but he still played 35 and 23 minutes in those contests. Collier has put up at least 20 FPTS in eight of those games with four over 30 and two over 40 FPTS. Over the last 10 games, the Warriors have been 25th in defensive rating.
Other Options: Toumani Camara ($5,600), Svi Mykhailiuk ($4,500), Brandin Podziemski ($3,900)
Forward
Stud
LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers at Philadelphia 76ers ($10,000): The marvel that is LeBron continues to play at a high level, putting up at least 50 FPTS in four of the last five games, with a high of 62 FPTS. Giannis Antetokounmpo has a higher ceiling, but there’s a good chance he and LeBron end up with similar production. LeBron is $1,700 cheaper than Giannis and Philadelphia has been dead-last in defensive rating over the last 10 games.
Other Options: Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,700), LeBron James ($10,000), Amen Thompson ($8,000), Deni Avdija ($7,200)
Value
Kyle Anderson, Golden State Warriors vs. Utah Jazz ($3,500): Mr. Anderson missed the last six games due to a glute injury. He will make his return on Tuesday. His playing could be limited due to it being his first game back, but he was playing in the high-teens prior to the injury. That said, both Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga are out, so Anderson could play in the low-20s. The upside is limited and he’s named Slow Mo for a reason, but he does average 1.01 FPTS per minute.
Other Options: Toumani Camara ($5,600), Svi Mykhailiuk ($4,500), Justin Edwards ($3,800), Kyle Anderson ($3,500)
Center
Stud
Onyeka Okongwu, Atlanta Hawks vs. Houston Rockets ($6,600): Okongwu has started the last four games and averaged 29 minutes per game. He’s put up 46 and 46.5 FPTS in the two most recent contests and had a stretch five game ago in which he finished with 47.75, 45.75 and 52.75 FPTS. I don’t think this Okongwu genie is getting stuffed back into the bottle. The Rockets and Alperen Sengun could pose some issues, though, but the expected playing time, price and upside are enticing.
Other Options: Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,700), Anthony Davis ($10,500), Alperen Sengun ($9,000)
Value
Steven Adams, Houston Rockets at Atlanta Hawks ($3,300): Adams is strictly a backup for Sengun and likely won’t play 20 minutes. That said, he’s cheap and has put up at least 20 FPTS in each of the last three games. On the season, he’s averaging 1.04 FPTS per minute.
Other Options: Brook Lopez ($5,700), Donovan Clingan ($4,600) if Deandre Ayton is out, Drew Eubanks ($4,100) if Walker Kessler is out, Quinten Post ($3,400)
