The Eagles hope to get back to the Super Bowl when they square off with their division rival Commanders in the NFC Championship Game. Jalen Hurts got banged up in the second half of last week’s game but looks ready to start against a familiar foe.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Philadelphia is currently a six-point favorite with the game’s total set at 47.5 points. Below, I’ve detailed my favorite prop bets centered around Hurts in this impending trilogy.
Best Jalen Hurts Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Jalen Hurts Under 24.5 Passing Attempts (-110)
Nick Sirianni and Kellen Moore simply don’t trust Jalen Hurts. The 26-year-old does an adequate job under center, but with the weapons at his disposal, that is rather concerning. Hurts is protected by a top-three offensive line, has a high-end collection of pass catchers, and a 2,000-yard rusher opposite him in the backfield. Hurt playing at an average clip tends to be more than enough, given the talent around him.
Too often when it matters most, Hurts can be a detriment to the roster, and Sirianni and Moore have to turn to their ground game. In seven career playoff outings, Hurts has only one true standout showing, coming in Super Bowl LVII. The more time passes, the more it’s evident that Philadelphia’s ideal path to success is to make Hurts a non-factor with his arm and maximize his legs.
Washington lives in shootouts, but the Eagles will want to work the clock and take the air out of the football. Hurts can’t go throw for throw with Jayden Daniels, so pounding the rock is the more likely game plan. Expect Hurts to drop back only when necessary.
Jalen Hurts Under 187.5 Passing Yards (-110)
A lack in Hurts’ volume of pass attempts should directly correlate with a lack of yardage. He’s been under this line in four of his last five outings as he continues to project as an athletic game manager.
The Washington secondary has been susceptible to chunk plays but has been great at creating turnovers. The best way to ensure Hurts doesn’t make a backbreaking mistake is to condense the offense and let Saquon Barkley go to work.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, parlaying these two plays currently provides +148 odds.
