AFC Championship Game Props: Best Bets for Travis Kelce

The Chiefs are hosting the Bills in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday. Here are some Travis Kelce prop bets to consider at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Travis Kelce Prop Bets

Here are Travis Kelce’s current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 6.5 receptions and o/u 69.5 receiving yards. Kelce is +130 to score a touchdown, +950 to score 2+ touchdowns, and +800 to score the first touchdown of the game.

The Chiefs and Bills will face off in the playoffs for the fourth time in the past few seasons. The Chiefs have won all three previous meetings, but they go into this one knowing that Buffalo beat them in the regular season. That was the only loss that the Chiefs suffered the entire regular season, excluding their Week 18 loss with their starters on the bench. So, the Chiefs will be looking for revenge over their lone real loss of the season, and the Bills will be seeking revenge for their playoff exits over the past few seasons. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes are two of the league’s best quarterbacks, and they should put on a show once again. This is expected to be a very close game with the Chiefs set as 1.5-point favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook. One player that could be the X-factor, as he has been so many times in the postseason, is Travis Kelce.

To a degree, Travis Kelce was written off during the regular season. It was not a bad season by any means, but compared to Kelce’s standards, it was a bit of a drop-off in production. He ended up finishing the regular season 12th in the NFL in receptions and 39th in receiving yards. However, his count of only three receiving touchdowns was the most surprising. Kelce was Mahomes’ favorite red zone target for so many years, but this season, Kelce only got to celebrate in the end zone three times. However, as he so often does, Kelce stepped up in the postseason. He ended up with seven catches for 118 yards and a touchdown last week against the Texans. Kelce has always elevated his play in the postseason and last week was no different.

My favorite prop bet for this game is for Kelce to go over 6.5 receptions. Travis Kelce’s postseason numbers over the past few seasons are out of this world. Since the start of the 2021 postseason, Kelce has played in 14 playoff games. Kelce has had seven or more catches in 11 of those 14 playoff games, including last week against the Texans. Kelce just never fails to perform in the postseason. When the chips are down, Mahomes goes to his most trusted target. The Bills are also vulnerable in the middle of the field. They have some injuries at safety and linebacker, which could leave backups on Kelce in this game. Last week, the two Ravens tight ends combined for nine catches, 134 yards, and a touchdown. Kelce should be able to put up big numbers in the postseason once again, clearing this number against the Bills.

Pick: Travis Kelce o6.5 Receptions (-125)
