NBA Best Bets: Kings at Knicks Best Prop Bets for January 25

The NBA has a full stale of Saturday night action. In one of the most fun matchups, the Sacramento Kings are in the Big Apple to face the New York Knicks. The Kings have climbed to No. 9 in the Western Conference at 23-21 while the Knicks sit third in the Eastern Conference with a 29-16 record. Over the last 10 games, though, the Kings are 8-2 while the Knicks are 5-5. Let’s take a look at some of the best Kings-Knicks prop bets to consider for Saturday.

The Knicks are 4.5-point home favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook and the point total is 231. The big injury to watch in this one is Kings guard De’Aaron Fox (thumb) who is questionable, while for the Knicks, Josh Hart (knee) is also questionable. Both starters played in their team’s last games and Fox was able to go through shootaround.

Best Prop Bets for Kings at Knicks on DraftKings Sportsbook

Domantas Sabonis to Score 20+ Points (-105)

With Fox uncertain, Sabonis could take on a little more offensive work. But, he has scored 20+ points in eight of his last nine games, so even if Fox plays, this is a number I like for the Kings’ big man.

Sabonis is averaging 21.0 points per game on the season and has gone for at least 20 points in 24 of his 41 games (59%). Sabonis has always played plenty of minutes, but since Doug Christie took over, he’s been carrying even more of the workload and has played 36+ minutes in nine of his last 11 games.

He has gone head-to-head with Karl-Anthony Towns three times since he was traded to Sacramento, and he has scored 22, 15, and 21 points in those three games while also posting a double-double in each contest.

There are other Sabonis prop bets that make sense if you want to go for a longer shot, but I’m very comfortable taking him to score 20+ points with or without Fox on Saturday night.

Malik Monk Over 5.5 Assists (-140)

Like the Sabonis prop, this is one I like if Fox is in but like even more if Fox is out. Monk has at least six assists in 11 of his last 12 games, averaging 7.4 assists per game. Also like Sabonis, he’s been getting even more minutes under interim coach Doug Christie, playing 35.2 minutes per game over that span.

On the season, Monk is averaging 5.6 assists per game, but he has gone over the mark in 20 of 36 contests (56%). Since moving to the starting lineup, Monk has flourished as a creator and his assist numbers have continued to climb.

The Knicks aren’t a great matchup for Monk with their stingy defense, but that’s balanced out by Fox’s wrist issues, making this a solid prop to attack whether you go with it as a single or combine it with Sabonis into an SGP.

Jalen Brunson 40+ PTS + REB + AST (+125)

This matchup with the Kings feels like a Brunson game to me. His already-high usage goes up by three percentage points when Josh Hart is off the floor, so he could get a boost from that. Whether Hart is out or not, Brunson will be the focus of the Knicks offense.

Brunson is coming off a bit of a down game in Brooklyn with only 24 PRA, but he had 40+ PRA in four of his previous five contests. He lit up the Hawks in his last home game and also went over this mark in home games against the Pistons and Bucks.

He has been hot enough to make this number achievable with or without Hart. Over the last 10 games, the Kings have played at the fastest pace in the NBA, which should give the Knicks plenty of possessions and chances for Brunson to go off in a great home matchup on Saturday night.
