NBA Best Bets: Jazz at Grizzlies Best Prop Bets for January 25

Two teams on opposite ends of the Western Conference meet tonight when the Grizzlies host the Jazz. Utah (10-32) has struggled all season, including an 0-4 stretch over its previous four games. In contrast, Memphis (30-15) has rebounded nicely from a nightmare 2023-24 campaign; the team is now looking to reel off their sixth-straight win.

The Grizzlies are 11.5-point favorites entering Saturday’s contest, with the over/under set at 247.5 points. Here are my two favorite player props available tonight on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best Prop Bets for Jazz at Grizzlies on DraftKings Sportsbook

Desmond Bane O2.5 three-pointers made (+100)

Desmond Bane might be Memphis’ third option on offense, but he’s certainly capable of taking over any game. The fifth-year pro has had a down season by his own standards, averaging 17.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists. However, he’s still one of the better marksmen in the NBA, knocking down 38.9% of his shots from three-point range (5.9 attempts per game).

Ja Morant’s status for tonight’s matchup is questionable due to an illness, although it appears he’s likely to play. With or without the former Rookie of the Year, Memphis’ other guard is poised for a big game on Saturday. This season, the Jazz are allowing the fourth-most points (118.3) and the fourth-most three-pointers made (14.3) to opponents. Bane has thrived in this spot before, clearing this line in each of his last four outings vs. Utah. With their best player at less than 100%, the Grizzlies should lean on another talented scorer in this one.

Brice Sensabaugh over 12.5 points (-130)

There haven’t been many silver linings for the Jazz, currently the second-worst team in the NBA. However, Brice Sensabaugh’s recent play has been a bright spot. The former first round pick’s two-year career hasn’t been very impressive from a statistical standpoint (8.8 PTS, 3.0 RPG). That’s changed in the month of January, as head coach Will Hardy has given the forward a larger role on offense. Over Utah’s last seven games, the Ohio State product is averaging 18.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists (48.5 FG%).

On a per-possession basis, the Grizzlies play solid defense. Still, their league-leading pace (104.6) lends itself to more possessions for both teams. This season, Memphis has given up 115.3 points per game to opponents, eighth-most in the association. Sensabaugh has scored 13 points or more in five of his last six appearances. If tonight’s game turns into another high-scoring affair, there’s no reason to assume the second-year pro can’t reach this modest total.
