After loading up the slate on Saturday, the NBA decided not to challenge the NFL on the conference championship Sunday, opting to schedule just one standalone contest between the Trail Blazers and Thunder.
DraftKings Sportsbook is offering a contest with the chance to win $20,000. Below, I’ve identified a pair of DFS value plays that will give your lineup a critical edge.

DraftKings Value Picks
C Jaylin Williams ($5,800)
Often referred to as “J-Will,” Jaylen Williams is one of the key glue guys in Oklahoma City’s recent emergence. The 22-year-old has had success in spurts despite never carving out a consistent role. At 6’8″, he’s often too small to play the five but isn’t mobile enough to consistently be effective as a four. With the injuries to the team’s front court, he’s spent the bulk of his time as a stretch five. He’s shooting about 36 percent from distance on the season and is excellent at relocating behind the line in transition.
When Williams is active on the glass, he has a 30+ point fantasy ceiling that is well worth his affordable price tag. Portland is a bottom-10 team on the boards and is susceptible on both ends of the floor. Williams will have a solid chance to snag some rebounds and turn in a solid performance.
C Donovan Clingan ($5,800)
Portland’s strategy, or lack thereof, might help in the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes, but on the court, it has hindered young players from immediately producing. It took months for rookie Donovan Clingan to have a permanent spot in the rotation. Even partway through his first season, he’s the best defender on the roster. He’s a modern rim runner who can flush home lobs and swat shots in droves.
With a more consistent opportunity, Clingan has risen to the occasion. He’s a walking double-double threat who is an underrated passer for his size. Oklahoma City is vulnerable in the paint, and Clingan will take advantage of the favorable matchup.
