Now, why are these the most-bet player props of the day?
Break down of Dean Wade Three Pointers Made, 3+ (+220)
- You know…I’m not too excited about this player prop. Wade hasn’t made three or more treys in eight games, and only has 3+ three-pointers in the months of December and January.
- However, the 76ers are below the league average in defending from deep, allowing an average opponent three point percentage of 36.6%—the public could be eyeing this as a favorable matchup for Wade.
- Also, Philly is allowing the 5th-highest 3PT% in the last three games (40.2%)/
- While this is the second most-bet player prop of the day, I’m leaning in the direction of fading it.
Break down of Eric Gordon Points O/U, Under 8.5 (-120)
- This is a prop I can get behind. Gordon is averaging just 6.3 points per game this season, and 7.0 points in the two games played against Cleveland this season.
Break down of Tyrese Maxey Rebounds + Assists O/U, Under 10.5 (-154)
- Maxey is not known for cleaning up the glass. He’s averaging 3.5 boards per game and is 20-15 on the under when his rebound line is set at 3.5.
- With Joel Embiid out indefinitely, Philly’s offense has run through Maxey, who is averaging 25+ PPG, but a tough matchup against a Cleveland defense allowing the 11th-fewest points to opponents makes me (and the public) believe Maxey’s assist number won’t be sky-high.
