The Sacramento Kings host the Golden State Warriors tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET for their second meeting of the season. The Kings beat the Warriors 129-99 on January 5.
Sacramento is one of the hottest teams in the NBA, winning nine of their previous 10 games. During this stretch, they have four players averaging 20-plus points. One is veteran DeMar DeRozan, so here is my favorite prop for him.
DeMar DeRozan over 21.5 points (-120)
DeRozan has averaged 23.3 points per contest throughout the last 10 games, the second-highest on the Kings. He even increased that average to 24.3 points in January. Given his recent success, it is surprising to see his total at 21.5 points for tonight’s game against the Warriors. You can get DeRozan’s over at -120 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
DeRozan has hit this total in five of his last six games. Although he only scored 12 points earlier this month against Golden State, he dropped 33-plus points in the previous two games against them. DeRozan is shooting 20 field goals per contest this month, 5.5 more than in December. He has scored 22 or more points in 20 of 37 games this season.
This year, DeRozan is making 2.3 three-pointers this month on four attempts. Even though he is shooting threes at a 33 percent rate, he has recently been a more willing shooter from long range. With DeRozan being a focal point in Sacramento’s offense, tonight is another great spot to back the six-time NBA all-star.
