The Warriors and Kings are two teams headed in opposite directions. Golden State began the season with a 10-2 record, only to lose 19 of its last 30 games. Sacramento struggled mightily with a 13-18 start before firing head coach Mike Brown. However, the team has rallied under interim coach Doug Christie, going 9-2 over their last 11 games.
What’s driven this Kings renaissance? A number of factors, but none bigger than the play of stars De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. The latter’s all-around excellence can make backing one statistical category a headache for bettors. However, it also gives the big man plenty of ways to contribute on a nightly basis.
Here’s the best Sabonis prop to play before Wednesday night’s game tips off on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best Domantas Sabonis Prop on DraftKings Sportsbook
Since joining the Kings three years ago, Sabonis has established himself as one of the game’s premier centers. The Lithuanian’s elite mix of skill, strength and savvy have made him a nightmare for opposing defenses. This season, the three-time All-Star is putting together his best campaign yet. Through 39 games, Sabonis is averaging 20.8 points, 6.3 assists and a league-leading 14.2 rebounds per game. The big man has also improved his shooting, knocking down a league-leading 48.4% of his three-point attempts.
Going against such a dominant force, any team would want its best defender healthy. That’s not the case for the Warriors, who have already ruled out Draymond Green (calf) for tonight’s contest. The veteran’s injury, along with the continued absence of Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) leaves Golden State extremely thin down low. This season, the team has given up the sixth-most rebounds (53.5) and the 15th-most assists (26.4) to opponents.
With just Trayce Jackson-Davis and Kevon Looney to protect the paint, the Dubs are at a clear disadvantage tonight. Sabonis has thrived in this spot before, recording 17.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists over his last five meetings with Golden State. Against a depleted version of the Warriors, Sacramento’s superstar should stuff the stat sheet once again.
Best Bet: Domantas Sabonis over 39.5 points + rebounds + assists (-120)
