Tonight we see the end of what feels like the longest college football season of all time. In the first year of the 12-team playoff, Ohio State and Notre Dame will square-off for the National Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The Buckeyes are 8.5-point favorites and the game has a total of 45.5 points.

Below, I’ve listed by top TreVeyon Henderson prop on the DraftKings Sportsbook for tonight’s action.

TreVeyon Henderson 60+ Rushing Yards (-120)

Notre Dame has one of the best secondaries in the country, and while there are some legitimate concerns about the unit’s ability to matchup in man coverage with Ohio State’s bevy of talented wideouts, I do think the Irish can hold their own in this phase of the game. I’m not so sure I can say the same about the team’s rushing defense.

It’s not as if Notre Dame has a weak front seven, yet the team’s depth has recently been put into question due to a number of back-breaking injuries — most notably Rylie Mills, one of college football’s top interior lineman. Mills’ absence was easy to spot in the Irish’s semifinal contest against Penn State. The Nittany Lions racked up 204 yards on the ground in their loss, with Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen both rushing for over 80 yards. Penn State’s offensive line was clearly overpowering Notre Dame at points throughout the night, and I’d expect another physical Big Ten school to have similar success.

Like Penn State, Ohio State has a pair of high-quality running backs in TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins. The latter has seen more volume in the playoffs, yet Henderson’s been by far the more effective of the duo. Henderson has only seen 24 carries combined in wins over Tennessee, Oregon and Texas, yet he’s averaging an eye-popping 9.0 yards per attempt in that span. Look for him to break off a couple big runs on Monday evening and get over this prop.
