Alperen Sengun O 20.5 Points (-115)

Sengun is a strong bet for over 20.5 points with Jabari Smith Jr. (hand) out. With the forward sidelined, Sengun has scored at least 21 points in four of his past six starts and with Smith Jr. off the floor this season, Sengun’s usage increases 3.4 percentage points to a team-high 30.7%.

On a per 36-minute basis, Sengun is averaging 25.1 points with Smith Jr. off the court this season. Sengun gets an average matchup vs. a Pistons team that ranks 15th in defensive efficiency, but the Rockets being an 8.5-point home favorite bodes well for Sengun.

The big man is averaging 2.3 more PPG at home than when on the road this season and Sengun has scored at least 23 points in three of the Rockets’ past five home wins. Plus, when the Rockets faced the Pistons in Detroit back in November, Sengun went off for 27 points, while shooting 11-of-17 from the field.
