Anfernee Simons Injury Update for January 21 vs. Heat

UPDATE: Simons is available to play tonight vs. the Heat.

Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons (elbow) missed Sunday’s win over the Bulls and has been listed as questionable for Tuesday’s matchup with the Heat. Simons is averaging 18.0 points and 4.9 assists in 31.9 minutes per game this season, and with him sidelined Sunday, Scoot Henderson drew the spot start and flourished with 25 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, and two steals across 38.2 minutes with a 26.2% usage rate.

The former lottery pick has now scored at least 21 points in three of his past four games and has been lights out from beyond the arc during this four-game stretch, shooting 53.3% on three pointers. Also, Deni Avdija finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 35 minutes with Simons inactive Sunday.

If Simons remains out Tuesday, Henderson, and Avdija will both players to consider for DFS and on overs for their player props, despite the subpar matchup with a Miami defense that ranks 11th in defensive efficiency.

The Trail Blazers are notably 3-1 with Simons inactive this season, and this Heat team they are hosting Tuesday has dropped six of their last 10.
