The Eagles host the Rams in a regular season rematch with a trip to the NFC Championship Game on the line. Here are some Saquon Barkley prop bets to consider at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Saquon Barkley Prop Bets
Here are Saquon Barkley’s current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 110.5 rushing yards, o/u 1.5 receptions and o/u 12.5 receiving yards. Barkley is -160 to score a touchdown, +370 to score 2+ touchdowns and +380 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Barkley has had an incredible first season with the Eagles. He is the runaway favorite to win NFL Offensive Player of the Year with odds of -3000 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Barkley ran for over 2,000 yards in the regular season and backed it up with a 119-yard rushing performance against the Packers in the Wild Card round. The Eagles’ offense did not look very sharp against the Packers but it was Barkley who led the way for them. Jalen Hurts threw for only 131 yards in that game and they struggled to get anything going deep down the field. That left it in Barkley’s hands to control the time of possession on the ground and allow the Eagles’ defense to win the game.
Despite his great season on the ground, Barkley was not much of a receiving threat, especially in later weeks. Barkley only had 33 catches in the regular season and never had more than two receptions in any of his past six games, including the postseason. Barkley’s receiving yards prop for this game is set at 12.5 yards. He has not cleared that number in any of his past six games, including last week against the Packers where he only had four receiving yards on his two catches. My favorite prop bet for this game is for Barkley to stay under that 12.5 receiving yard mark.
The Rams’ defense ranks 11th in the NFL in receptions allowed and 16th in receiving yards allowed to opposing running backs, so this has not been a problem for their defense that the Eagles might look to exploit. Dallas Goedert has been the short outlet receiver for Jalen Hurts more than any running backs in recent weeks. Hurts also just isn’t attempting very many passes over the past few games in which he’s been active, which decreases everybody’s target share. Hurts has only attempted more than 22 passes in one of his past six games. That type of run-heavy game script means that the limited throws that Hurts does make are trying to stretch the field to the likes of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Barkley should have another great game on the ground but will likely not play a role in the passing game, keeping him under this number for the seventh-straight game.
