The NFC Championship is set as the Eagles will host the Commanders in a surprise NFC East matchup.
Washington upset the top-seeded Lions on Saturday, while the Eagles held on to defeat the Rams on Sunday. With these two games concluded, the NFC Championship opening odds are up on DraftKings Sportsbook.
The Commanders will visit the Eagles on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 3 p.m. ET. It’s the first of two championship games next week.

The Eagles are the No. 2 seed and will get to play their NFC East rival in the NFC Championship game. These two teams are very familiar with each other, having played twice this season already. They split the season series, but Philadelphia opens as the favorite for this playoff matchup.
The Commanders are 4.5-point underdogs and are +185 on the moneyline, while the Eagles are -225 on the moneyline. The game’s total is set at 48.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Eagles vs. Commanders NFC Championship preview
This was not the expected NFC Championship game whatsoever. Before the season, the Commanders had little hope to be a playoff team, but they’ve speed-ran their rebuild and defeated the Buccaneers and Lions in the playoffs.
Jayden Daniels has been masterful as a rookie, looking composed as if he’s a polished veteran in these high-stakes moments. Not many quarterbacks can say they’ve accomplished what he’s done in year one.
He has yet another monumental challenge in front of him as the Eagles advanced to the NFC Championship, too. Philadelphia narrowly escaped a Rams’ two-minute drill comeback and will face a familiar foe in the NFC Championship.
The Eagles and Commanders played each other twice in the regular season with each team taking a win. Philadelphia won the first matchup 26-18 in Week 11 as Saquon Barkley ran for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
The Commanders won 36-33 in Week 16. Daniels threw five touchdowns as Washington overcame a 13-point deficit entering the fourth quarter. Jalen Hurts only played a few minutes in this game, however. He suffered an injury early and Kenny Pickett played the majority of the contest. The offense tailed off majorly without their starter.
Hurts is back to full strength heading into this NFC Championship. His injury in Week 16 is a significant reason why the Eagles lost. Daniels was excellent in the effort and has been masterful in the playoffs thus far, but the Eagles are a tier above the rest.
Daniels would need a historic performance to take down Philadelphia. Its defense is too potent and the offense features too many weapons in Barkley, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. The odds aren’t in Washington’s favor, though the NFL has seen greater upsets before.
