NBA Best Bets: Lakers vs. Clippers Best Prop Bets for January 19

In one of the three late games on Sunday night, the two teams from Los Angeles go head to head for the first time this season as the Clippers host the Lakers at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood. The two teams have almost identical records as the Lakers come in 22-17 to face the Clippers, who are 23-17 and are just a half-game ahead of the Lakers in the No. 5 and No. 6 spot in the Western Conference. As the home team, the Clippers are four-point favorites with the point total set at 215 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

On the injury report, Anthony Davis (calf) is questionable while Jaxson Hayes (shoulder) and LeBron James (injury management) are probable. For the Clippers, Norman Powell (back), Ivica Zubac (back) and James Harden (illness) are all questionable.

Those injuries could have a huge impact on the rotation for both teams, but there are still some player prop bets that stand out as good options. Here are my top picks coming into the afternoon:

Best Prop Bets for Lakers vs. Clippers on DraftKings Sportsbook

Austin Reaves to record a double-double (+425)

Reaves has been rolling lately, averaging 22.2 points, 8.9 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game over his last ten contests. He has only six double-doubles in his 34 games this season (17%), but all six of them have come in those ten games (60%).

Reaves only had three assists on Friday in his most recent game, but he instead carried the load scoring with a season-high 38 points. He had a double-double against the Heat in his previous contest with 14 points and 14 assists.

The Lakers have given Reaves plenty of room to operate the offense, and whether Davis plays or not, he has a solid chance to get a double-double. As the number indicates, it’s a high-risk bet picking him to get to this total, but there are more conservative options that also attack this recent trend. You can take Reaves to get to 8+ assists at +160, and he has reached that level in seven of his last ten games.

Kawhi Leonard Over 16.5 points (-110)

The Clippers have so many key players who are questionable, they’ll probably need Kawhi to pick up extra usage. Leonard has been slowly ramping up after missing the first 34 games of the season. He has played increasing minutes in each of his four games, working his way up to 24 minutes last Wednesday in a blowout win over the Nets. He scored a season-high 23 points in that game making 8-of-11 field goal attempts.

Kawhi took Thursday off on the second game of the team’s back-to-back, but he should be back in action since he’s not on the injury report against the Lakers.

Last year, Kawhi faced the Lakers four times and scored 38, 15, 25 and 26 points. While he was closer to 100% in those contests, he always seems to be fired up to take on LeBron James and the Lakers. On Sunday night, he should be ready to step up with Harden, Powell and Zubac all banged up.

If you want a higher-risk play on Kawhi, you can get him at 20+ points at +160 or even 25+ points at +400.

LeBron James over 37.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Whether Davis plays or not, LeBron is a good pick to go over this PRA line. He has reached this total in 20 of his 36 games overall this season (56%), including four of his seven games in 2025. In two of those three games he fell short, he was within two of going over, so he’s been very close in six of his last seven.

On Friday, he went well over this total with 29 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. The King also reigned over this total in six straight games against the Clippers, including in all three of his games last season against his crosstown rivals.
