Sunday’s slate starts with Eagles vs. Rams. Matthew Stafford and the Rams are 6.5-point road underdogs and the game total is set at O/U 42.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook. There are four Eagles in the top six in terms of odds of being the first touchdown scorer of the game.
- Saquon Barkley (+400)
- Jalen Hurts (+500)
- Kyren Williams (+700)
- A.J. Brown (+850)
- DeVonta Smith (+1000)
- Puka Nacua (+1100)
Kareem Hunt and Jahmyr Gibbs were yesterday’s first touchdown scorers, and I think I will continue the trend today in Eagles vs. Rams. Please read below for my favorite choice.
Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles
Kyren Williams First TD Scorer (+700)
It likely comes down to Kyren Williams or Saquon Barkley finding the end zone first. Based on how off the Eagles offense looked in the Wild Card Round, I’m rolling with Sean McVay and the Rams to be ready. Williams is the definition of a touchdown machine and found the end zone first five separate times during the regular season. He scored the first touchdown last week versus Minnesota and in Week 12 against Philadelphia.
The Eagles defense ranks second in rush EPA and third in pass EPA, so the matchup isn’t necessarily friendly. Williams is essentially matchup-proof, though, and Josh Jacobs just totaled 120+ scrimmage yards last week against this Eagles defense. While the Eagles field a top red zone defense and the Rams field a poor red zone offense, Williams led the league in red zone touches and should see plenty of chances again today.
