The Kings look to extend their recent hot streak when they host the tanking Wizards on Sunday evening. After being tossed around in early-season trade rumors, De’Aaron Fox has leveled up his game and seems committed to turning around the organization.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Sacramento is currently a 16.5-point favorite, with the game’s point total set at 236.5. Below, I’ve honed in on my favorite player prop centered around Fox in this cross-country duel.
Best De’Aaron Fox Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
De’Aaron Fox 25+ Points (-120)
It’s been an interesting few months for De’Aaron Fox. His counting stats are largely the same as last season, but his efficiency from the floor has taken a nice uptick. The addition of DeMar DeRozan has been a net negative overall and has hindered Fox’s ability late in games. With Doug Christie at the helm, Fox has taken the reins back as the primary offensive engine, which is in control when it matters most. He hasn’t quite responded to this reinsertion as the unquestioned top guy, struggling with shooting in three of his last four games.
In his last showing, Fox struggled around the rim and finished six of 17. It’s an outlier performance, as he’s normally clinical in the paint. Fox uses his lightning-quick first step at the top of the key to dash into the lane and effortlessly get to the hole. The two-man game with Domantas Sabonis is starting to flourish again as Fox feasts off handoffs and navigates off screens.
Washington is last in defensive rating and consistently looks uninterested in putting effort on that side of the floor. Rookie Alex Sarr is a decent rim protector, but the perimeter resistance is almost nonexistent. The youth movement might help them earn the right to draft Cooper Flagg but not play competitive January hoops. De’Aaron Fox is an effortless scorer and should dominate against the inferior competition.
