Pistons +1 (-115)
The Pistons have been a solid team recently, winning 10 of their last 12 games, but they’re coming off a 111-100 loss to the Pacers. Detroit will look to bounce back with a strong performance against a Suns team struggling defensively. Phoenix has won four of its last five, but they’ve shown weaknesses, particularly in their fourth-quarter defense. Newly acquired center Nick Richards is expected to debut, but even with the addition, the Pistons’ offense, led by Cade Cunningham, should be able to cover the +1 spread at home. Detroit will also be motivated to shake off their recent loss.
Timberwolves +6 (-108)
The Cavaliers are having a great season overall but have struggled recently, dropping two of their last three games, including a blowout loss to the Thunder. The Timberwolves, coming off a solid win over the Knicks, have been playing better as of late with Anthony Edwards continuing to shine. While the Cavaliers have a great backcourt in Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland, Minnesota’s defense and Edwards’ scoring ability should help them cover the +6 spread at home. Cleveland may be vulnerable, especially with the short rest after a blowout loss.
Warriors -13.5 (-108)
The Wizards are on an eight-game losing streak and are struggling to find a rhythm on both ends. Though averaging a career-high 21.4 points, Jordan Poole has been shooting poorly during the slump and the Wizards’ overall defense has been a problem. The Warriors are at home, and with a motivated Stephen Curry and the return of Draymond Green, they should be able to dominate. The Warriors have already beaten Washington twice this season, and with the Wizards struggling to find their footing, Golden State should cover the -13.5 spread.
Celtics -9 (-112)
The Celtics are coming off a much-needed 121-94 win over the Magic, and despite some injury concerns with Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Al Horford (all questionable), they are still one of the best teams in the league. The Hawks could be without Jalen Johnson, who is questionable. With the Celtics’ offensive and defensive firepower, including Jaylen Brown’s all-around contributions, they should cover the -9 spread against an undermanned Hawks team. Boston has proven dominant at home, and they’ll look to extend that success on Saturday.
Trail Blazers +11.5 (-108)
The Rockets are a much-improved team this season, but they were recently snapped out of a five-game winning streak with a loss to the Kings. While struggling in their recent losses, the Trail Blazers have some key players like Anfernee Simons who can make an impact. Even in tough matchups, Portland has been competitive at home, and the Rockets’ occasional defensive lapses could allow the Trail Blazers to keep the game closer than expected. With a big spread at +11.5, Portland should cover if they can bounce back from their previous defeats.
