NBA Best Bets: Rockets vs. Trail Blazers Best Prop Bets for January 18

In the late game on Saturday night, the Portland Trail Blazers host the Houston Rockets at 10 p.m. ET. The Rockets blasted to five straight wins before losing a five-point game to the Kings on Thursday. The Blazers have been trending the other way, having dropped four straight. the Rockets are 11-point road favorites with the point total set at 223 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Rockets added Amen Thompson (calf) to the injury report as questionable, but they should have the rest of their regular rotation available. On the other side, the Trail Blazers will likely be without Deni Avdija (ankle), who is doubtful, and they could also be without Deandre Ayton (ankle) and Jerami Grant (face), who are questionable.

Let’s take a look at some of the best prop bets from this Western Conference matchup at the Moda Center:

Best Prop Bets for Rockets vs. Trail Blazers on DraftKings Sportsbook

Jalen Green 25+ Points (+105)

Green has scored at least 27 points in seven straight games for the Rockets, averaging 31.4 points per game over that span. He’s been red hot, shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range

He only had 17 and 10 points in the first two games against the Blazers, but he has been so hot lately that he should be able to hit this number.

If you are unsure that he’ll score quite this many points, another way to attack Green’s props is to hit his made three-pointers. Green has hit at least four threes in each of his last seven games. He has over 2.5 three-pointers in 22 of his 40 games (55 percent), and despite his recent success, he is +114 to hit over 2.5 three-pointers and +155 to hit 4+ three-pointers.

Toumani Camara Over 10.5 points (+100)

Camara stepped up while the Trail Blazers were shorthanded, and he should stay very involved even if Grant is back since Avdija will likely be sidelined. He could get crowded out eventually, but for this game, he should still be able to find enough usage to hit this over.

The Clippers held Camara scoreless in the Blazers’ loss on Thursday. He went 0-for-5 from the field. Before that, though, he had gone over 10.5 points in seven of his previous eight games.

The 24-year-old from Belgium went just over and just under this total in the two previous games against Houston. On the season, he is averaging 9.6 points per game, but his recent string of production makes him a nice option at even money at this line.

Alperen Sengun under 0.5 blocks (+124)

Sengun has been on a nice role with three double-doubles and four games with at least 20 points in his last five games. While he has been producing solid stat lines overall, he hasn’t been churning out blocks. He only has three total blocks in his last six games and has been under this total in six of his last 11 games, dropping him to an average of 0.9 blocks per game on the season.

In his first two games against the Trail Blazers, Sengun did not have a single block. He also has been much better at getting blocks at home (1.1 per game) compared to on the road, where he’s averaging just 0.7 blocks per game.
