Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks at Boston Celtics ($10,100) — NBA DFS season is here. Late-game scratches are common. Game-time decisions loom. Young enters this matchup with the dreaded Q-tag. He’s carried it all season but it’s become more legit as the wear and tear of the season builds. The Hawks haven’t played since Wednesday and have Sunday off. Young sat on Wednesday. It was the second game of a back-to-back. He should be good to go Saturday. The matchup isn’t good to go, but Trae Young knows go. The Hawks know go. They play fast and are matchup-proof due to their pace.

Kelly Oubre Jr., Philadelphia 76ers at Indiana Pacers ($5,800) — Philadelphia’s frontcourt is a mess. The swingman will play the four and five and max out on minutes. It’s not the best situation for the six-foot-eight shooting guard but it’s favorable for NBA DFS. His offensive efficiency should drop but his volume should increase. The rebound possibilities will give Oubre a high DFS floor.

Amen Thompson, Houston Rockets at Portland Trail Blazers ($8,400) — Jayson Tatum ($10,200) will be the popular spend-up NBA DFS pick. The Hawks-Celtics game could be a shootout. It all depends on the three-point shooting. Thompson is less dependent on the three. He draws a favorable matchup against the Blazers. And as LeBron James said in regard to the Thompson brothers, “Cade Cunningham said it best. They aren’t like the rest of us. They different.” The Thompson Twins are the best Thompson Twins since the last Thompson Twins — the 80s Brit-Pop band that scored a hit with “Hold Me Now.” Play Amen now.

Robert Williams, Portland Trail Blazers vs. Houston Rockets ($3,200) — The Time Lord is back. The time isn’t prime. The Blazers are done. Tank time is here. Donovan Clingan is out. Deandre Ayton ($6,100) is beat up and playing poorly. The Blazers should get blown out by the Rockets. Williams could play 25 to 30 minutes if the Blazers choose to do so. He should at least get 20 minutes and keep up his regular point-per-minute production.

Alperen Sengun, Houston Rockets at Portland Trail Blazers ($9,100) — The top-tier center options are rare on Saturday. The value picks will be popular in most NBA DFS lineup builds. Paying up will be contrarian. Sengun is the leverage play. Portland’s defense ranks 28th in the NBA. Sengun has scored over 45 DKFP in four of the last five games and over 50 in three of five.

Adem Bona, Philadelphia 76ers at Indiana Pacers ($3,000) — This is a wait-and-see NBA DFS pick. Joel Embiid is out. The 76ers’ backup centers — Guerschon Yabusele ($5,400) and Andre Drummond ($5,000) — are questionable. Philadelphia will try to run Paul George ($8,200) at the five. George — a podcaster first and NBA DFS pick second — has expressed his disinterest in being a center. He’s questionable, too. George might sit if Nick Nurse asks him to be a big. That leaves Bona and Pete Nance ($3,000) at the minimum with all the minutes.
