The Hornets have been underwhelming yet again this season, but they’ve won two of the past three outings. They’ll face a Bulls team tonight that features Zach LaVine, who is playing some of his best basketball as of late.

Ball is one of the most fun players to watch because he plays with such freedom on the court. It’s almost like he’s just hooping on the playground at times.
He’s in his fifth year in the NBA and playing the best basketball of his career. The one-time All-Star is averaging 29.6 points, 7.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game. His prop bet lines tonight are on par with his season averages, but there’s a great opportunity to have a large scoring output against the Bulls.
Chicago is one of the weaker defenses in the NBA, allowing the second most points per game to opponents. It also has the ninth worst defensive efficiency and second fastest pace. It’s a perfect environment for a high-scoring affair, which is where Ball thrives. He’s scored at least 31 points in 15 of 26 games this season, and that should come fairly easy against such a porous defense.
Ball hasn’t played against the Bulls this season, but he’s matched up against the Wizards and Hawks, who both fall in the top four of pace and opponents points per game. In those three outings, Ball scored 34, 34 and 31. If Ball can score 31 points against Washington and Atlanta, he can certainly do so against the Bulls.
A Hornets vs. Bulls game isn’t a marquee matchup in 2025, but it’s a gold mine for inflated statistics. Fast pace and inefficient defense is the recipe for high scoring outputs. Ball will be the main beneficiary of this scenario tonight.
