Karl-Anthony Towns Injury Update: January 17 vs. Timberwolves

UPDATE: Towns has been ruled out for Friday’s game.

Knicks C Karl-Anthony Towns missed Wednesday’s overtime win against the 76ers due to a thumb injury, and he is now listed as questionable for Friday’s game at home against Minnesota. In his absence Jericho Sims got the start, contributing eight points and seven rebounds in 23 minutes.

Towns has fit into this Knicks team extremely well, averaging 25.4 points and 13.9 rebounds per game. He will be a big miss if this absence continues, so New York will be hopeful that he returns to the lineup soon.

Expect Sims to continue to start if KAT remains out. Stay tuned to DK Network for updates on his status as he looks to suit up against his former team.
