Joel Embiid (foot) will miss his sixth game in a row Wednesday, while Maxey (hand) and George (ankle) are questionable after missing Tuesday’s loss to the Thunder. Furthermore, Caleb Martin (groin) will miss his third straight game and Andre Drummond (toe) will miss his sixth consecutive game.
If Maxey and George play, they will be the 76ers unquestioned top two options with Embiid and his 35.6% usage rate missing. With the center off the floor this season, Maxey is averaging 26.2 points per 36 minutes with a 31.5% usage rate, while George is averaging 22.1 points per 36 minutes with a 28.1% usage rate.
Now, if one of Maxey or George is active with the other inactive, that active player will naturally see an even higher usage rate as the 76ers’ primary player. In the event that both these players are out again, Ricky Council and Reggie Jackson could make their second straight start, while Jeff Dowtin and Justin Edwards would be in line for expanded roles off the bench. With Embiid, Maxey, and George out Tuesday vs. the Thunder, Jackson only scored four points despite the spot start, while Edwards, Dowtin, and Council finished with 25, 18 and 13 points, respectively.
The 76ers could create a plethora of appealing DFS targets tonight depending on who ends up being available, so be sure to be checking back to DK Network tonight for further updates.
