It’s the second night of a back-to-back set for the Hawks and absolute injury report anarchy is the result.
Atlanta will be without three of it’s top players on Wednesday night, as Trae Young (hip), Jalen Johnson (shoulder) and De’Andre Hunter (foot) have all been ruled out. Young is obviously the key name in that sentence, as the All-Star leads the Hawks in points per game (22.5) and usage rate (27.7%). Heck, in Tuesday’s victory over the Suns, the point guard posted an eye-popping 44.0% usage. Young also leads the whole NBA in assists per contest (12.1).
Needless to say, it’ll be big shoes to fill. Dyson Daniels is the clear option to take the reigns as the team’s lead playmaker on Wednesday, while the likes of Bogdan Bogdanovic, Vit Krejci and Garrison Mathews should see added responsibility. All three are viable value assets on DraftKings, with Mathews being of particular interest. The wing is just $3,300 this evening and scored 19 points against Phoenix.
