New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers due to a thumb injury.

The Knicks are coming off a 124-119 loss to a revitalized Detroit Pistons squad at Madison Square Garden on Monday evening. Towns posted 26 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists in that contest.

The 29-year-old big man is having a fantastic first season in New York, averaging 25.4 points, 13.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game across his 38 appearances.

When Towns has missed time this season, big man Precious Achiuwa tends to receive additional minutes. Jericho Sims could also be in line to benefit, though his role remains limited and the Knicks could also choose to go small in Towns’ absence.

With a 26-15 record, the Knicks currently sit third in the Eastern Conference standings.
