The NBA starts the work week with a six-game slate on Monday night, which includes both Los Angeles teams scheduled to return to action after having recent games postponed due to the wildfires in the region. The slate locks at 7:00 p.m. ET when the Timberwolves and Wizards tip off at 7:00 p.m. ET and wraps up with the two L.A. teams starting at 10:30. For the second straight day, there are 12 teams to consider as you build your lineup for the main slate of DraftKings contests. Of those 12 teams, a few options stand out as top DFS stacks for this Monday, January 13.
Only the Wizards and Knicks are playing for the second day in a row, and none of the teams have a game scheduled Tuesday, meaning back-to-backs shouldn’t be much of an issue. However, be sure to keep a close eye on today’s injury report for the latest news as we approach tip-off.
With the information available going into the afternoon, here are my top three DFS stacks to target.

Houston Rockets vs. Memphis Grizzlies
The Rockets have the highest implied team total on the night, edging out the Timberwolves, who get a soft matchup against the Wizards. Houston will be playing for the first time since last Thursday after Saturday’s postponement against Atlanta due to weather. The Rockets have started 2025 with four wins in five games, with their only loss coming to the Celtics. They faced the Grizzlies in this same matchup in their most recent game last Thursday, winning 119-115.
Core Plays: Jalen Green ($6,800) has been the main fuel source in the Rockets’ recent boost, but he remains very affordable. He always brings a very high ceiling due to his high volume, and he has taken 20+ shots in six straight games and scored 27+ points in four straight. He had 27 points and 42.5 fantasy points Thursday against Memphis after posting over 49 and 51 DraftKings points in his two previous games. Alperen Sengun ($9,100) is also a great option to stack around after posting 51 and 59.5 fantasy points in his last two games. He had 31 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, a blocked shot and 59.5 fantasy points Thursday against Memphis. Amen Thompson ($7,300) and Fred VanVleet ($7,100) also bring a lot of upside but have tougher positional matchups, making Green-Sengun my favorite core to consider.
Value Options: With Jabari Smith Jr. (hand) and Tari Eason (lower leg) on the sidelines, Dillon Brooks ($4,800) has been playing heavy minutes. The former Grizzlies player is always fired up to face Memphis, but Cam Whitmore ($3,800) and Jae’Sean Tate ($3,400) have actually been better value plays lately.
Minnesota Timberwolves at Washington Wizards
The Wizards continue to be a great target for DFS stacks, allowing more points per game than any team in the NBA and posting the worst defensive rating in the league. Minnesota lost to Memphis on Saturday to have its three-game winning streak snapped but still scored 125 points. The Wolves have at least 104 points in 11 straight games, and their offense is coming together enough to be a strong option to build around Monday.
Core Plays: As the focus of the offense, Anthony Edwards ($9,000) has an exceptionally high ceiling if he decides to be aggressive and take all the shots on Monday. Julius Randle ($7,200) and Rudy Gobert ($5,200) should be able to dominate down low also since the Wizards have allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing centers this season. Gobert at his salary is easy to fit in at center, although there is some opportunity cost since there are so many superstar options at that position.
Value Options: The Wolves have several great value plays led by Donte DiVincenzo ($5,400), who has flourished since joining the starting lineup four games ago in place of Mike Conley ($3,400). DiVincenzo has scored double-digit points in each of his four starts with at least 25 points in each game. He’s coming off a season-high 27 points on Saturday, when he finished with 57 fantasy points in 36 minutes against Memphis. Jaden McDaniels ($4,200) is another starter who gets heavy minutes and could benefit from extra usage in this favorable spot, while Naz Reid ($4,700) continues to excel off the bench. You could even take a flier on Conley or Nickeil Alexander-Walker ($3,300), who could help clean up garbage time if the game gets lopsided.
Los Angeles Lakers vs. San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs are much better defensively this season than they were in 2023-24, but they are still a good matchup for the Lakers, who should be well-rested after having their last two games postponed. They faced the Spurs twice in November, scoring 119 and 120 points in a pair of road wins. The two teams were originally playing a back-to-back in L.A., but the first game of that set was postponed on Saturday.
Core Plays: Both LeBron James ($9,500) and Anthony Davis ($10,500) had big games against the Spurs earlier this season and are both probable after getting extra time off. LeBron had two triple-doubles against San Antonio, producing 56.5 and 51 DraftKings points. Davis averaged 57.8 fantasy points in those two matchups with Victor Wembanyama ($11,300) and will look to rise to the occasion of his big matchup Monday night.
Value Options: Max Christie ($4,000) has fit nicely into the Lakers’ starting lineup even though he doesn’t typically do a ton of scoring. He has started 13 straight games, playing 30.6 minutes per game and chipping in 12.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He had over 21 fantasy points in three of his last four games, highlighted by a 28-point outburst that helped him to 43.25 fantasy points two weeks ago. Dorian Finney-Smith ($3,600) has been playing big minutes since arriving in a trade and has over 15 fantasy points in three straight contests.
