How a Bettor Won $298,000 With a College Basketball Parlay on DraftKings Sportsbook

As the college basketball season rolls on, DraftKings Sportsbook offers great opportunities to build massive parlays on any slate. On Saturday, one bettor assembled a beautiful, 11-pick parlay, selecting 11 winners on the Moneyline on their way to true “Crowning Moment” and a payout of $298,000 on a $250 parlay.

Here are the eleven legs wins that the bettor picked:

The first game of the 11-game parlay tipped off at noon when the Louisville Cardinals visited the Pittsburgh Panthers. Reyne Smith led the Cardinals to their sixth straight win by knocking down seven three-pointers, finishing with 25 points. It was a back-and-forth contest in the second half, but Smith did enough to secure the first win of the day for this parlay.

Three more games tipped off for this parlay at 2:00 p.m. ET. No. 11 Kansas went on the road to Cincinnati and got a double-double from Hunter Dickinson on their way to a 14-point win. No. 9 UConn was also on the road as they took on their former Big East rival Georgetown in Washington, D.C. It was a close game at halftime, but ultimately, the Huskies pulled away behind 19 points from Alex Karaban.

The parlay almost came to an end when No. 3 Iowa State headed on the road as they took on the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Cyclones fell behind big early and needed overtime before emerging with a one-point victory. Joshua Jefferson played the hero, forcing overtime with a buzzer-beating layup and also scoring the last six points for Iowa State in overtime, including two free throws with 4.1 seconds left that completed the comeback and kept this parlay headed to its “Crowing Moment.”

The parlay had another close call at 3:00 p.m. ET when it needed Bradley to beat UIC on the road. Bradley fell behind, 8-6 early in the first half and trailed the whole rest of the game until Duke Dean hit this shot with only two seconds left.

In the later afternoon, the parlay turned to the SEC and picked Missouri to win at home over Vanderbilt, which they did 75-66. No. 8 Florida took on Arkansas on the road in another SEC matchup, and the Gators emerged with a win, 71-63.

Turning to the ACC, this parlay took North Carolina to beat their in-state rivals NC State. It was a close, hard-fought game, which was tied at 61 with under a minute left. Another hero for this bettor emerged as Jalen Washington made the game-winning dunk and then blocked Jayden Taylor’s layup attempt to end it.

Three more picks remained for this parlay to claim its “Crowning Moment” heading into the night-time slate. Top-ranked Tennessee faced a tough road test against Texas in Austin. The Vols suffered a 30-point blowout earlier in the week against the Gators, but they bounced back behind Zakai Zeigler, who had 16 points to improve the team’s record to 15-1 on the season.

Two ranked matchups closed out the parlay’s victory. No. 5 Alabama visited No. 10 Texas A&M in an extremely high-scoring contest. It was the first matchup between top-10 teams in College Station history, and it lived up to the hype even though the home team didn’t end up on type. Mark Sears led the way with 27 points to lead the way to a 94-88 victory.

In another top-15 matchup, No. 6 Kentucky took on No. 14 Mississippi State. The Wildcats were underdogs against the Bulldogs, but they made 16 three-pointers, including seven from Jaxson Robinson on his way to 27 points. Kentucky won 95-90 and improved to 13-3 on the season while Mississippi State fell to 14-2.

The Wildcats’ win made the 11-leg parlay a perfect 11-for-11 in picking winners. The “Crowning Moment” turned the $250 parlay into a massive $298,000 payout.
