First Touchdown Scorer Prediction for Packers vs. Eagles on Wild Card Weekend

The second NFL Wild Card Sunday game features Jordan Love and the Packers heading into Philadelphia to take on Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. The Eagles are 5.5-point favorites and the game total is set at O/U 45.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook. Hurts missed the final two regular season games due to a concussion but has since cleared protocol and is a full-go for the postseason.

The superstar running backsโ€“โ€“Saquon Barkley (+450) and Josh Jacobs (+600)โ€“โ€“lead the way in terms of odds for the first touchdown scorer in Packers vs. Eagles. Please read below for my favorite first touchdown scorer prop bet choice on DraftKings Sportsbook with a full breakdown.

Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts First TD Scorer (+650)

You know how what’s happening. We’re banking on Philadelphia driving down the field and Hurts stealing a one-yard QB sneak touchdown from Barkley. The Eagles may play it safe with Hurts and run him a bit less but we’re talking about the playoffs. Hurts averaged ten rushing attempts per game during the regular season and totaled 35 in three games during Philadelphia’s Super Bowl run in 2023. Much like Lamar Jackson in the postseason, Hurts depends on his legs more than his arm, which usually works.

Hurts scored the first touchdown in just two games this season but now draws a strong first-round matchup against a Packers defense that allowed touchdowns on 76% of goal-to-go situations. Barkley leads all Eagles’ players in red zone touches but Hurts is not too far behind, and has scored nine of his 12 touchdowns on QB sneaks this season. Statistics no longer matter in the postseason, and the Eagles will abuse their incredibly efficient tush push multiple times.
