Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder at Washington Wizards ($10,700) — The Thunder have Monday off. SGA can go off on Sunday and stay in. This team is angry and making statements. They lost the battle with the Cavs. Two nights later, the Thunder rolled into New York City and embarrassed the Knicks in the Garden (126-101). The Wizards better hide. They’re in need of a disappearing spell. The only concern is that SGA and the Thunder go ballistic and the necessary minutes aren’t available.

Cason Wallace, Oklahoma City Thunder at Washington Wizards ($3,700) — Thirty minutes for less than $4,000 is a deal. It’s a steal from a kiddo. Dusty vets throwing on the role-player suit for 30 minutes of work isn’t the best deal. Young exciting players with everything to prove are enticing NBA DFS picks. This is a great night for Wallace to make his name known. The Thunder are 16.5-point road favorites. Wallace is starting and playing in blowouts.

Paolo Banchero, Orlando Magic vs. Philadelphia 76ers ($9,500) — Does anyone else on the Magic want to do anything? Banchero is back and he’s a ball hog. He picked up where he left off. This is an all-time ball-hog burner. His usage rates in the last three games are 47.8, 35.1 and 41.9%. The latter two were from October and the 47.8% was his first game back. What a first game! It makes sense. The Magic lineup is limited. There are no limits for Banchero.

Noah Clowney, Brooklyn Nets at Utah Jazz ($5,100) — The circus is in town. The Nets roster is more of a freak show. It’s “outs” up and down. Clowney is the only thing to get excited about and there’s good reason to clown around with rostering him. The 20-year-old is finally getting an opportunity to show what he can do. His size and athleticism provide a safe floor via peripheral stats. What’s lesser known is that Clowney is developing his three-point shooting. Every young player is but it’s a game-changer when the bigs learn to hit the shot from deep in the twigs. Clowney is chucking triples and getting to the free-throw line.

Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers at Orlando Magic ($9,700) — Most of the elite centers are on the afternoon NBA DFS slate. The center value picks proliferate the main slate. Spending up for a big will be contrarian. Embiid could return to the lineup on Sunday. Before missing the last three games, Embiid scored over 50 FPTS in four straight contests. The Magic matchup is the worst. This is arguably the best defense in the NBA and they allow the least amount of fantasy points to opposing centers. That’s a deterrent for most centers but Embiid is different.

Kyle Filipowski, Utah Jazz vs. Brooklyn Nets ($3,700) — There’s the safe but limited-upside option in Mason Plumlee ($4,300). There’s Jonathan Isaac ($3,400). He’s a microwave but there’s always a minute limit. Brooklyn continues to start a G-League team and several Nets are center-eligible. That G-League roster rolls into Utah on Sunday. The Jazz are battling injuries and have been forced to increase the workload of their three 2024 first-round picks. Utah has lost three in a row, but each loss was close. Filipowski has averaged over 22 minutes per game over the last five games and scored over 24 FPTS in two of the last four.
Other Options — Jonathan Isaac ($3,400), Mason Plumlee ($4,300)
