Banchero made his anticipated return from a 34-game absence due to an oblique injury this past Friday vs. the Bucks and the forward did not disappoint. In 26.3 minutes, Banchero finished with 34 points, seven rebounds and three assists with an eye popping 47.8% usage rate.
This godly role was a result of Franz Wagner (oblique) and Jalen Suggs (back) missing this game, and these two players will remain sidelined Sunday. Banchero should continue to see a mammoth role and his playing time should also be closer to 30 minutes in his second game back.
In the 58 minutes Banchero has played with Wagner and Suggs off the floor this season, Banchero’s usage rises 11.1 percentage points to 45% and on a per 30-minute basis, he is averaging a huge stat line of 35.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists.
Clearly, this 34.5 PRA line is far too low for Banchero and he is a must-best for this over, regardless of this subpar matchup vs. the 76ers, who rank 15th in defensive efficiency and 26th in pace.
