The Chargers head to Houston on Saturday afternoon to get this year’s NFL Playoffs underway with an AFC Wild Card matchup. The Texans scuffled into the postseason while the Chargers come into the playoffs with some nice momentum after winning three straight to close the year. Quentin Johnston ($4,800) was a big part of their late-season surge and the second-year receiver out of TCU is a great DFS value to include in your lineups this weekend. Let’s take a look at the latest on Q for this week.
Quentin Johnston’s status
Johnston is officially questionable for Saturday afternoon’s game after being limited in two practices this week and held out of another due to a thigh issue and illness. However, on Friday ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler had this report:

Johnston should be ready to serve in his regular role as the team’s second receiver behind rookie Ladd McConkey ($6,800). The two may get more concentration of targets since WR3 Joshua Palmer was ruled out for a second straight week.
A fantastic finish
Johnston was a disappointment in his rookie year after being a first-round pick for the Bolts, but he has looked much better in year two. He missed a couple of games mid-season with an ankle injury, but he has been heavily involved since returning and was especially effective in the closing weeks of the season.
Since returning in Week 8, he averaged 4.1 catches on 6.9 targets for 54.7 yards per game. He had at least six targets in each of the last five games of the season, and topped off his sophomore campaign with 13 catches on 14 targets for 186 yards in Week 18 against the Raiders.

Even though he probably won’t match those career-highs, Johnston brings enough upside to be a great DFS option under $5,000 in DFS contests like the NFL $1.5M Saturday Special [$500K to 1st] (Sat).
Johnston has a good matchup against the Texans, who gave up 21 receiver touchdowns in 17 regular season games and 190+ receiving yards to the position in four of the last seven weeks.
