The NFL Playoffs begin this weekend and, in my opinion, the marquee game is taking place at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, as the seven-seed Packers travel to take on the two-seed Eagles. With both quarterbacks practicing in full on Thursday, it looks like this won’t be a tilt tarnished by injury, either. Currently, Philadelphia is a 5.5-point favorite on the DraftKings Sportsbook. The total is set at 45.5.
Here are the betting splits and most popular player prop bets at for this all-important Wild Card matchup.
Betting Splits
It’s pretty clear which way the public is picking this game to go. The Eagles are currently taking 84% of the bets on the moneyline and 74% of the bets on the spread. They’re also seeing a massive 84% of the handle on the spread. It’s not that difficult to figure out why this might be the case. Philadelphia has been one of the league’s strongest teams throughout the regular season, posting a 14-3 record that includes a neutral site victory over this same Green Bay squad back in Week 1. Meanwhile, the Packers have struggled with top-level competition. Most notably, Green Bay finished the season 0-5 against 11-win opponents.
However, for spread bettors, it is worth remembering that the Packers were 3-2 ATS as underdogs this season. Maybe they didn’t beat the great teams, but the did tend to cover. For our purposes, that might be more important.
While the public is quite set on the victor of this Wild Card matchup, it is far more divided when it comes to the total. 63% of the bets are backing the over on 45.5 points, yet the handle is split evenly at 50-50. Some of the scoring optimism might hinge on the positive injury reports we’ve been getting later in the week on both Jalen Hurts and Jordan Love, with each QB expected to return for this contest. At the same time, Philadelphia and Green Bay are two of the six teams to hold opponents to fewer than 20 points per game this season. That might be why the big bets are trending towards the under.

It’s easy to understand why the public is quick to back Barkley. The former first-round pick is in the midst of one of the greatest running back campaigns of all-time, racking up 2,005 rushing yards on a league-high 345 carries.
However, allow me to play devil’s advocate for a moment — especially on a bet with -175 odds. There’s a reason that Barkley ran for all those yards yet still finished just seventh in rushing touchdowns among RBs with 13. That reason is Jalen Hurts. Barkley is sixth in the NFL in red zone rushing attempts (55), yet unlike the other men at the top of that list, Barkley only sees 37.1% of his team’s carries inside the five-yard line. Hurts is the ultimate vulture. Proceed with caution.
