Paolo Banchero hasn’t played since October, but he’s making his return to the court tonight against the Bucks.
The Magic All-Star got off to a hot start, averaging 29 points per game through five games. Then an oblique injury struck and sidelined him until the new year. Orlando has managed to stay afloat despite Banchero and Franz Wagner’s absences.
The team gets one back tonight and is a 6.5-point underdog against the Bucks at home. The game total is set at 211.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Banchero makes his return tonight against the Bucks after not playing since October. Typically, I would lean toward the under for prop bets after a length recovery process, but there’s too much value on the over here.
The 22-year-old is averaging 29 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game through five games this season. He likely won’t come close to these averages in his first game back, but he doesn’t have to in order to hit the over on his points, rebounds and assists prop. The line is set at 27.5 and is even tempting to take the 30+ option for a bit more profit.
Banchero surpassed the 30+ mark in four of his five games this season, and while that was over two months ago, the Magic are in need of his skillset. Orlando lost Wagner to injury shortly after Banchero went down, so the team has been without a go-to option for a while.
The Magic managed to remain a top four seed, but they’ll be utilizing Banchero now that he’s back. The team will likely ease him into action, which is why the lines are much lower than his averages. Still, that’s not enough of a concern to take the under.
