Nikola Jokic is questionable for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to an illness.
The Denver Nuggets’ star center was sidelined from last night’s contest against the Boston Celtics due to the same illness.
Jokic initially got sick on Monday, head coach Michael Malone told Denver Gazette beat writer Vinny Benedetto. The three-time MVP’s illness worsened throughout Tuesday thus leading to his absence against the Celtics.
The 29-year-old center is on track to win another MVP as he’s averaging 31.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 9.7 assists per game.
The Nuggets started Dario Saric in place of Jokic last night, and DeAndre Jordan saw increased minutes off the bench. Denver could opt for a similar approach again if Jokic is out tonight.
