Ja Morant has missed five games with a shoulder injury. He could return on Thursday as he’s officially been designated as questionable.
It wouldn’t be the best of matchups because Houston is third in defensive efficiency, but minutes are minutes. Memphis has dropped three of the last five games without Morant.
Jaren Jackson Jr. has shouldered the offensive load with Morant out of the lineup and thrived. That said, he is also questionable with a thigh issue.
If Morant does return, that would send Scotty Pippen Jr. back to a reserve role.
