UPDATE: Jalen Hurts has cleared the concussion protocol and will start on Sunday against the Packers.

At Wednesday’s press conference, Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni said QB Jalen Hurts will practice today. Hurts has missed the last two games after suffering a concussion against the Washington Commanders in Week 16.

Hurts finished the regular season with 2,903 passing yards, 18 touchdown passes, and five interceptions. He also totaled 630 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground this year. The No. 2 seed Eagles are hosting the No. 7 seed Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round of the 2025 NFL Playoffs. This game will occur on Saturday, January 12, at 4:30 p.m. ET. The Eagles are the favorite at -4.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 45.5 for this contest.
The Eagles faced the Packers in Week 1 in Brazil. Philadelphia won that game 34-29, and Hurts threw for 278 yards while having two interceptions and two touchdowns. The Packers’ defense has done a good job against opposing QBs this season, only allowing 215.2 passing yards per game (13th in the NFL).
Hurts will practice for the first time since he was injured three weeks ago. The Eagles’ trend toward getting their starting QB back for their first playoff game is encouraging. The Eagles are facing the Packers at the right time, as they have lost their previous two games and have given up at least 24 points in both contests.
