Steph Curry will be a legend of the game forever. Even as his game begins to wane at the age of 36, which it is definitely doing this season, his shot will remain pure as ever. The Warriors will remain contenders, but their window is closing fast. Perhaps that’s why they’ve been linked to some of the Jimmy Butler trade rumors swirling around the NBA landscape as we speak. Curry has been having a quiet season, posting 22.5 PPG, 4.9 RPG, and 6.3 APG. He remains a prolific sniper from downtown, connecting on 42% of his attempts from deep and taking 10.3 per game. He’s playing the fewest minutes per game since 2011-12 and averaging the lowest points since 2012-13. It’s clear that Golden State is looking to preserve his long term health for the postseason. Curry is probably no longer interested in regular season accolades, of which he holds many.

His gravity is still undeniable, and the Heat will do all they can to deny him easy looks from anywhere on the court, especially the perimeter.
Despite the Heat’s proficiency in defending opposing point guards, Curry is averaging 25.4 points per game in his last five games, weighed down by one 11 point aberration against the first-seed Cleveland Cavaliers; a very tough matchup indeed in which he shot 4/14. I’m comfortable going Over this mark tonight for Curry due to his mostly strong recent form.
Threes 4.5 (Over -140 / Under +144): Despite the Heat’s proficiency in defending opposing point guards, Curry has connected on 27 triples in his last five games, rounding out to about 5.4 per game. He’s still a world-class shooter and is liable to go off for double-digit three pointers any game. I’m going Over in this department as well, expecting Curry to keep firing from beyond-the-arc with great efficiency.
