  • Suns at Hornets, 7 p.m. EST
  • Rockets at Wizards, 7 p.m. EST
  • Lakers at Mavericks, 7:30 p.m. EST
  • Timberwolves at Pelicans, 8 p.m. EST
  • Hawks at Jazz, 9 p.m. EST
  • Celtics at Nuggets, 10 p.m. EST
  • Heat at Warriors, 10 p.m. EST

Lakers -7 (-108)

The Lakers are looking to get back on track after a narrow loss to the Rockets, while the Mavericks are reeling from five straight losses. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving are both sidelined, so the Mavericks struggle with consistency and lack the star power to compete with the Lakers. Daniel Gafford is also unlikely to play after suffering an ankle injury. Anthony Davis continues to play at an MVP level, and with LeBron James contributing, the Lakers should be able to cover the -7 spread, especially with the Mavericks’ current injury woes and lack of depth.

Timberwolves -5.5 (-108)

Minnesota will be finishing a back-to-back, but they come into this game with momentum after a decisive win over the Clippers. Anthony Edwards has been on fire, scoring 37 points in the Timberwolves’ recent victory, and his offensive output will be crucial for their chances to cover the -5.5 spread against a New Orleans team that, while improving, is still lacking consistency. The Pelicans are still without Zion Williamson, and even though C.J. McCollum has been stepping up, Minnesota’s offense should be able to carry them to a comfortable victory.

Nuggets +6 (-112)

The Nuggets have been on a hot streak, averaging 124.5 points per game over their last 10 games. While the Celtics have remained an elite team this season, their recent loss to the Thunder highlighted their recent struggles. Nikola Jokic continues to play at an MVP level, and the Nuggets’ offense should be too much for the Celtics to contain, especially if Jayson Tatum is less than 100% after his recent injury scare against Oklahoma City. Expect the Nuggets to keep this one close and potentially cover the +6 spread.

Heat +9 (-105)

The Heat has been playing without Jimmy Butler, but have shown resilience in their recent games. After a tough loss to the Jazz, Miami pushed the Kings to double overtime, showing a sense of fight despite their injuries. The Warriors, coming off a humiliating loss to the Kings, are also dealing with some internal issues, with Jonathan Kuminga out for a few weeks. While Golden State is tough at home, Miami’s defense and team effort should help keep this game close and cover the +9 spread.

Hornets +4.5 (-110)

The Hornets desperately need a win. Fortunately, they’ll have their top scorers, LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller, back in the lineup. The Suns have been struggling, losing seven of their last eight games, and the recent lineup changes haven’t resulted in a significant turnaround. With the Hornets at home and Phoenix still trying to find their rhythm, Charlotte should be able to cover the +4.5 spread, especially with a potential strong performance from Ball and Miller to help keep the game competitive.
