The Charlotte Hornets return home after a two-game road trip to face the Phoenix Suns. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season. Last night, the Suns snapped their four-game losing streak against the Philadelphia 76ers. Tonight, the Suns and Hornets will play at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The Hornets have lost their previous 10 games and haven’t won in nearly a month on December 8 vs. the Indiana Pacers. Charlotte’s best player, LaMelo Ball, has improved tremendously as a scorer this season. Here is my favorite prop bet for Ball.
LaMelo Ball over 26.5 points (-120)
Ball only scored 24 points in his previous game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. But in two of the last three games, Ball totaled 31 or more points. He has hit this scoring mark 10 times in the previous 15-game period.
Ball’s over in points is set at -120 on DraftKings Sportsbook tonight. Ball has scored 31 plus points in games following a performance under 26.5 points.
Ball has scored at least 27 points in 15 of 23 contests this season. The Suns allow the 11th most points to opposing teams (113.9). Although it hasn’t translated into the win column, Ball has consistently maintained a high volume of shots. He has attempted 27 or more field goals in six of his last nine games. The Suns gave up 27 or more points to an opposing player in the previous four games.
