The Phoenix Suns are 5-10 in their previous 15 games. After moving Bradley Beal and Jusuf Nurkic to the bench, the Suns beat the Philadelphia 76ers 109-99 on Monday. The Charlotte Hornets host the Suns at 7:00 p.m. ET tonight.
Here is my favorite Devin Booker bet for tonight’s game. Booker leads the Suns in assists per game with 6.7 while scoring 24.1 points per contest.
Devin Booker over 6.5 assists (-130)
Booker has excelled as a passer lately, totaling more than 6.5 assists in the last three games and six of the previous eight. In his previous three contests, he has recorded at least nine assists. Although he hasn’t been a consistent scorer for the Suns, he is finding other areas to affect the game positively.
Getting Booker’s over in assists at -130 on DraftKings Sportsbook is an excellent play, considering how well he has played in this area as of late. Booker has hit this mark in 14 of 29 games this season. Booker has had seven or more assists in his last three games against the Hornets.
Even though Booker isn’t a full-time point guard, he is still 12th in the NBA in assists per game. It was surprising to see his total for assists against the Hornets this low after how he has played the last month. Booker’s over/under for points is set at 23.5. Since he hasn’t scored 24 or more points in his last three contests, pivoting to his over in assists is likely the better play.
