Suns +3 (-108)

The Suns have been struggling recently, losing seven of their last eight games. Despite having their trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal healthy, Phoenix has not gotten back on track. However, they did win the first matchup between these two teams this season and are looking to rebound against a 76ers team that has been improving. The Suns’ defense has been porous, but a benching of Beal and Jusuf Nurkic might spark some momentum. Phoenix should cover the +3 spread in this matchup. Of course, the Suns could very well end up struggling after this change if negativity in the locker room impacts performance.

Bucks -7.5 (-108)

After their NBA Cup victory, the Bucks have faced some struggles, but they are still favored to cover the -7.5 spread against the Raptors. Toronto has lost 12 of its last 13 games and has struggled with its defense, particularly in its recent loss to Orlando. The Bucks are dealing with some inconsistency, but Giannis Antetokounmpo is still performing at a high level, and they should have enough to cover the spread in Toronto, even as they continue to find their rhythm. Antetokounmpo recently commented about needing to get back on track after dealing with illness—he’s looking to be aggressive from now on.

Spurs -3 (-108)

San Antonio has been playing better recently, and Victor Wembanyama continues to reach historic levels. The Spurs have won three of their last four games and have a solid chance to cover the -3 spread against the Bulls. There seems to be an identity-forming for San Antonio around its generational talent. With a winning record (18-17), the Spurs are figuring it out, and defeating teams like the Bulls will become an expectation soon. Chicago has been inconsistent, and despite their victory over the Knicks, they still lack the defensive personnel needed to stop Wembanyama and the Spurs’ young core. San Antonio should cover the spread on the road.

Clippers +2 (-105)

The Clippers will have Kawhi Leonard playing in his second game of the season after a cautious return. Leonard’s presence will be a huge boost, even though he’s being eased back into action. It remains to be seen how significant of a workload he’ll carry early in his return, but there is plenty of firepower with James Harden and Norman Powell setting the tone. The Timberwolves have been struggling with consistency and have lost three games in a row despite a career-high 53 points from Anthony Edwards. The Clippers are well-positioned to cover the +2 spread, especially with Leonard playing and the team’s depth providing support. Expect the Clippers to keep this one close or potentially pull off an upset.

Kings -3.5 (-115)

The Kings have bounced back, winning four straight games under interim coach Doug Christie, including a dominant win over the Warriors. While De’Aaron Fox remains questionable, the Kings’ defense has improved significantly, and Domantas Sabonis has been a force in the paint. The Heat will be without Jimmy Butler due to his suspension, severely weakening their lineup. Miami was blown out by the rebuilding Jazz, showing vulnerability amid the distractions. Sacramento should cover the -3.5 spread, especially with their recent momentum and Miami’s struggles without Butler.
